#3 is really nice... any more? ... it'd be interesting to get your take on your photographic experience on your trip

I have been to Morocco several times, but never to Marrakesh, but to Tangier, Tetuan and other places. Went first time to Morocco on a motor bike trip in the beginning of the 70'. I see that nothing much have changed. Your street scenes are very typical. People seems to be very clad up. Was it cold?

Great pictures; each one has its charms.

I was in Marrakech in '67 with a IIIg and Ig; my fastest lens was a 50 Summicron and my film was mostly Kodachrome II (ASA 25) with a couple of rolls of High Speed Ektachrome (ASA 160). Didn't do a lot of handheld nighttime stuff. But I did have some hash cookies, after which my photos where very blurry for a day.

I'll probably be back next year with Noctilux and such.

It was not cold. For someone from Norway it was hot. 22 ℃ on the day. 12 ℃ at night. It is very nice that nothing has changed.

The images look good.

I was in Marakesh and in Rabat in 1980 or so. I then had only one camera: Zeiss Contina. When I tried to use a tripod to take a photo of the King's bedroom from outside in the gardens of the palace. A security guard insisted that I make a self portrait first.I guess, he wanted to make sure that the Contina was a camera and not a missile guiding system!

I was in Morroco in December of this year. I battled weather to take my M8, and in the end, took my Canon 5D. Looking at your photos, I'm kind of wishing I had taken my M8....

Nice work ; )

I haven't been there since 1971, and the pics you show are an improvement to the impoverished city I visited. Granted no major changes, just seems to have been cleaned up a bit(or should I say A BUNCH) from what I saw in 1971.
Great take on the city, I would like to see some B&W. That's all I shot while there.
Good job.
Forgot to mention I was stationed at U. S. Naval Air Station, Port Lyautey, Kenitra, Morocco. We (photographers) traveled to Marrakesh, and Cairo whenever we could get off the base.
Still, nice photos.

I was in Tangier in 72' just after this assassination attempt on king Hassan II. - His picture were everywhere, not the least in public toilets. The king escaped being shot down in his private Boeing 727 by Moroccan jet fighters. It was curfew after nightfall all over Morocco.

Late one night I crossed Tangier from the French Quarters to the center and was stopped several times at different checkpoints by military sentries and police. I was full of red wine and in a hell of a good mood and not to be stopped by some silly coup d'etat. I remember heavily armed and tough looking police officers that relaxed and smiled - hardly with any teeth, when they discovered that I was 'just another, sunburned & drunk Scandinavian'. Nice people moroccans.

great pictures, my favorite is nr. 2. I've been in Morocco several times in the last 25 years (81, 82, 92, 99). I liked tangier, essaouira and erfoud in south. please show some more pictures. they are very athmospheric and it seems, morocco hasn't changed a lot, visually at least).

some of my photos (offcourse all all analog with canon ae-1) from back then you will find here:
