This is directed to any owners of this lens. Does adjusting the rear lens element give you soft focus on this lens? Some of the original petzval portrait lenses (Dallmeyer, Wollensak, etc.) have an adjustable rear element incorporated in order to induce a soft focus effect via increased spherical abberations. Just curious as to whether the adjustable element on this lens was intended to compensate for coma as on other MS optical lenses or whether it is there to introduce spherical abberations as found on some vintage petzvals.
