Hi All,
Since the switch to the new gallery ( I haven't been very active lately) I seem to have multiple copies of images. I uploaded two last night (only one made it's way in) and there are two copies of it. Last night it appeared to be three. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi Keith - The previous gallery software duplicated an uploaded pic into each Album you assigned it to. So if you put a pic in several albums, there were several copies of the pic in the database.
This all changed with the new gallery software. Now when a photo is assigned to more than one Collection it's simply tagged as a member of each Collection, not duplicated.
You'll see where this is leading... When the old gallery was migrated to the new one, photos in more than one Album show up as duplicates under the new structure. For each photo with multiple copies, you'll want to look them over and pick one to remain (perhaps the one with the most Views and Comments) and delete the extras.
Currently, if you upload one photo, it will result in that photo appearing in the gallery with no duplicates even if you assign it to multiple Collections. Make sure you click the "Public" control, not "Private" for it to be seen by all. If it seems to be stuck on Private, then delete it and upload it again.
