I have just had to restore from a backup and I am very tired. Most issues we have seen are due to configuration and buggy software. We are working really hard to resolve these issues once and for all. However, your patience is needed. This is a one man shop and I am trying. Some of my changes have disabled the gallery. The images are all there its just the displaying of them that is a problem. Again, Once we make it through this we will be a happy community again 🙂 None the less, thanks for being there.

No problem, and don't forget to go out and shoot, have a romantic meal with the lady in a nice restaurant and all the other things that realy matter.

Come to think of it and beeing in a humorous mood anyway, I'd declare it a feature!

The gallery is now optimized for realy slow dial-up users, it even works with a 9600 Bit/s GSM connection 🙂

No worries Jorge
it's a great place to hang out so its worth the wait.

To me the gallery is the heart of this place. Photography is about showing photographs. Operations on an open heart are a risky, dangerous thing. I keep hope up the patient will recover well.

I hope he went to sleep in his bed and didn't crash on his keyboard.

Jorge is working very hard, he has communicated with us mods as he has made some changes over the past few weeks just letting us know of significant issues and things that he is doing.

Thanks Jorge.

Jorge - don't worry too much about us - remember the priorities are your family, your health, your livelihood. Most of us can muster the patience to wait months for the right camera or lens to come along - we can be patient while you sort out these frustrating problems associated with upgrading this place we all love. Thanks.

Yeah, that kind of puts it in perspective doesn't it? Jorge, you keep your personal life where it should be, then it will be easier to keep RFF where it should be.

In the meantime, hopefully the rest of us can muster the patience we exercise in our GAS and apply it to giving you some breathing room.

I can only thank you for your hard work. Try to relax a little and do not forget your life, away from computers !
ciao, robert

Thanks, Jorge, for all you do. These problems with RFF are much more trouble to you than they are to us. I appreciate your dedicationto make this a fun and effective forum!
