I wanted to share (and open for critique) a photo journal about my nine day road trip from Austin to D.C. for the inauguration and various protests last week.
I was particularly interested in your thoughts about a situation I wrote about that will be very familiar to many of you who have been among a swarming mass of photographers when conflict and drama unfolds.
I shot with two Leica M-P bodies and four lenses: Elmarit 28 (pre-), Summicron 35 (pre- v4), Summilux 50 (pre-) & Summicron 75 APO/ASPH.
Please, let's keep the comments focused on the photography only! Thank you!

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.

Great read, and wonderful images. The image of the police above and the one of the folks in the tent (next to the Michael Moore one) from your site stand out for the beauty of the light in addition to the subject/design - tho the tonality you've got throughout is quite lovely - unusual for this type of stuff.
On a side note- I'm still shooting that a la carte MP hard, in fact, it is about to return home to me after getting some further mods done. Nice to see you back!

Great job, David. Sharp eye and a sharp tongue! Really well done.
I'm amazed you could find your way around so well... I've lived and
worked here for 30+ years, and I wouldn't have tried it that weekend.

Great stuff!
I really appreciate that you took the time to make the road trip and really get a feel for yourself and what you were covering.
Keep up the good work!

Congrats, very well done!
You might want to check out my related thread. I spoke to a fellow M shooter during the protest and wonder whether it was you. I live and work in downtown DC and my plan is to go to every single protest over the next few months/years until I have enough material for a photo book.
P.S.: love your tattoo!
