I just visited, for just the second time, a GREAT website for viewing photography. Here's the address:

http://expirationnotice.blogspot.com/

If you aren't familiar with it, its a site for photographers over the age of 35 that have a significant body of work to show. I love the site for that... you can only post there if the site accepts the body of work. No need to weed through every single frame that came out of anyone's camera.

Currently the site is showing the work of four excellent photographers. Lots of variety in the show... and LOTS of talent! This particular show (Volume 3) went up in late April, so you probably should take a look soon before they put up the next show.

So, you can only be showcased if you're over 35, and yet the subtitle on the page is ""AGE IS SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T MATTER, UNLESS YOU ARE A CHEESE" BILLIE BURKE."
Right... I'll pass...

Don't pass until you've looked at the images... they are REALLY GOOD! You get a lot of great ideas very quickly, instead of having to weed through the thousands that pop up in a Flickr search, for example.

"Never judge a book by its cover" :)

Great site ...thanks for sharing .....

"Currently, there are several online sites, print publications and competitions that cater exclusively to young and emerging photographers- and god bless 'em! This site however, will serve as an online gallery for those who've already lived a life, continue to do so, and have the quality goods long denied the glory of the the glossy magazines or gleaming white gallery walls. We may not do much in the way of fame and fortune, but we may get you a few well deserved seconds of recognition."

a good example is BURN MAGAZINE..... http://www.burnmagazine.org/

Burn... REALLY great! The Richard Pak series "Pursuit" is amazing.. pulls you in slowly until you just can't stop looking. Amazing and difficult portraits.

Thanks for the reference... I added it to my 'look at every day' bookmark list. :)
