Joe

Is that an in camera JPEG straight out of the camera or a RAW PP'd? Either way it looks to be a winner.

Ok you've mastered the selfie ... let's move onto the cat shot! :D

Congrats Joe ... I sincerely hope you come to love the little Fuji as much as I love mine. I can honestly say I wasn't expecting to like the X100 as much as I do. :)

i hate cats!

the selfie was just a quick shot...

looking at that shot though...at 1600, handheld it still is pretty sharp.

if i like it enough to keep it i plan to sell one of the rd1 bodies and go with the mixed kit...might work out...

One of the things I really like is how quiet the camera is when you turn all the sounds off ... a little busy whirr from the focus mechanism and that's about it.

Aside from it's great looks the camera attracts zero attention when you use it.

Did you notice the unusual smell when you unpacked it? Vaguely reminiscent of fresh engine oil ... or was that just me? :p

hhmmm, i missed the smell...but i did mumble something like - packed up like a leica - when i was opening it...also like the rd1, very nice packaging...

Congrats on the X100 Joe! I've been close to buying one a couple of times, but I'm still not sure what my next digital camera will be.
