I was cleaning my house and decided to take my Arugus C-4 to a local camera store to see if it worked and get film, after getting some film for it I took it for a spin, but when I was trying to focus and made sure I was at a reasonable distance from what wanted to take a picture of, the 'Ghostly mage' was above its self like the focus moves left to right which it's hard to control but the object now was just a few inches above its self. I don't know if this is normal or if the camera has an issue.

Hello and welcome to the forum Phantom_photo.

Your camera needs to have it's rangefinder recalibrated. the ghost image should be at exactly the same level as the main image whether the lens is in focus or not. The horizontal (left - right) movement of the image should move at the same speed that the focusing ring on the lens is moved. IF there is any difficulty in controlling this, then you should be feeling the focusing ring on the lens being too stiff or too loose, or too uneven. If the ring feels like it does on your other cameras but the ghost image "does it's own thing" then there is probably some problem with the link between the lens and rangefinder. Perhaps when the lens is focused at infinity the ghost image takes a second or two to catch up (this has just started to happen with my Ricoh 500GX)?
