After having to stop using polaroid 100 land camera due to fuji discontinuing 100C film, I've been eyeing out instax wide to be the replacement. But for some reason I feel scared to fall in love with instant film again and the possible heartbrake if it goes down. And instax wide is the only interesting one and for fuji it seems like not that well supported compared to instax mini.
Lovely picture, I like the feel of it. And holding an instant film in hand is always a special feeling 😊

Thanks, Myrrs, I have no idea...I bought a large stash of Instax Wide 300 some 10 years ago, and I'll keep shooting it. Why not take the plunge? Cheers, OtLAnd instax wide is the only interesting one and for fuji it seems like not that well supported

Instax Wide is pretty supported in the modding community. This is my 110A that I converted to a 110B and Instax with the Lomograflok back.

It's not the cameras I'm worried about, there's modding community as well as available products from all over the place. It's the film it self. How long can I know for sure it's around. Not wanting to burn my self as with fuji fp100C which I shot hundreds of shots, even repurposed it's "negatives" (with bleach and fixing you can get usable negatives from them) and made wonderful pictures. Only to be angry about fuji when they decided not to support it any longer. If I go instant again, I want to know I can keep shooting it at least the decades I have left to hold a camera.
But they're so lovely.. Looking at the Instakon RF70 and conversion options right now. Just maybe.
Lovely pictures anyway! I do love a good instant film. Makes wonderful small spontaneous pictures for notebooks as well as good things to give away.

Of every film out there, Instax is probably the safest. I think about half of Fuji's imaging sales are Instax related. How much is wide I don't know. But they even expanded to square format and did add a Wide printer a couple of years ago.
110a/b conversion.

Just saw this on PetaPixel. 63% of Fuji's Imaging Division's operating income is from Instax.Of every film out there, Instax is probably the safest. There are never any guarantees. But at least for now, Instax is a large and successful business for Fujifilm - substantially larger than their digital camera business. Latest financial results attached:

I sympathize, but there are no sure things in life. Too much worrying about the future can so easily ruin the enjoyment of the present. Get an Instax camera, use and enjoy it, and make photos! It's not the cameras I'm worried about, there's modding community as well as available products from all over the place. It's the film it self. To go from 110a to 110b was a bit more involved. I basically bought a 900 and moved its top cover and rangefinder to the 110a. It is a little involved though as it doesn't swap directly. You have to drill and tap an existing screw hole for the larger sized RF post that the cam is on and have to drill a couple of additional screw holes. Might be easier to move the front plate from the 110a onto the 900 body.
