Hi everyone,
I bought a Linhof III on the bay, and had it serviced for quite a long time, really a long time. Anyway here are the first images from it. I love Pol. Type 55 !!
The Leica is feeling a bit "small" sitting here in the table.
Oh, and this is my 29 year old girlfriend, not a day younger.

Congratulations on the Linholf, it's a super nice camera and from the pics of your lady, you know how to use it.
I once put a IV on layaway but was unable to to pay it out as I was laid off shortly afterward, so I never got to use one, a real shame as they are such nice little designs, a real classic.
Like a lot of folks, I also love the type 55 and I've saved a box of it for awhile now, hating that when it is gone, that'll be it. Maybe Fuji will hear our pleas and do a deal to make it their own.
Post more of your work when you can and show us how your III inspires you.

Hi Eli,
Thanks for the kind words. Yea never know if anyone else will like your stuff... smiles.
But as a thought, you know Polaroid is not the world's most stable. It needs to be kept in ziplock bags in the fridge (Not Freezer ever) for best storage. But I have a better Idea ...
Shoot the stuff, make images !! I just know what it's like to think you have "something" for when you want it & then it's all dried up ... I had 20 sheets 810 pol. I was saving for transfers.... well.
So I challenge you ... Shoot something cool.
Enjoy!
Steve

Steve, it's a shame about the 8x10 drying up, great stuff that.
I've always keep my instant print stuff in the fridge, the freezer is indeed bad news for the packet chemistry. This is late production runs so I think I'll be ok for a while yet.
One of the pros/cons of shooting a bunch of old cameras in rotation is eventually everyone gets a turn, including the ones that take Polaroid
.
Have you worked with the Fuji films yet? If so, what is your take on their b&w products?

Hi,
The FUJI B&W's are ok, 'kinda like Type 54 is look & feel. the 3000 is I use when testing for TriX in Diafine -1 stop. The 100 is nice too. I think the 400 is Japan only, but maybe Freestyle has some.
They are the only game in town unless you inherit 20 boxes of 55 or something.
If so I'll give you $100 a box.
