I was on vacation in North Carolina visiting our daughter, but I forgot to bring any cameras! (Except for an iPhone which took this shot.) Anyway, went to the local thrift store (Goodwill) and picked up a really nice Olympus Trip 35 for $3.50! Just got the first roll of Kodak 400 back from Walgreen's 1hr processing, and that 40mm f/2.8 Zuiko lens sure is sharp!

It never needs batteries for the meter, has zone focus, and auto exposure. What's not to like for something that was cheaper than a disposible camera?

I picked one of these up last week too, cept the aperture doesn't move, i'll have to take it apart and see if the light meter even works first.

Nice find!!

lam, they're super easy to work on!
I've taken mine apart several times.

Kent, congratulations!
Really a bargain and the simplicity helps to concentrate on the picture itself, without compromising the image quality.

I've never had a Trip 35 but I keep on the lookout for one. I'm wondering though, don't the the light meters start giving up the ghost over the years. I don't believe I've heard any input on having light meter problems.
