Here are a couple of pics from the first roll I shot with my new (to me) G1 (Thanks Franscisco!).
Both are maximum aperture (f2) on the 45 Planer. Autofocus is a little noisier than my EOS but who cares, at least it keeps us awake.
This is our youngest daughter, the only one I can still bully into posing.

My M5s need red dots!
This is an embarrasing admission... I never shot that camera with the lens wide open. It took me forever to start doing it. It would have been such a cinch to do because the AF is very precise.
Glad you're enjoying it, Jeff!

I think the only reason to buy CZ is shooting with aperture wide open.I do it even with 21 Biogon

Jeff,
Too cool! Congratulations on the G1 acquisition! I had one back in the late 90's and still kick myself for selling it. Some complain the viewfinder is a bit squinty but I never found that to be a detriment, it's just a different style of viewfinder that you adjust to. The camera is definitely worth it for the fabulous Zeiss lenses alone, and they're less expensive than their Leica counterparts but no less fantastic!
Enjoy!
