I recently bought a 50mm Nokton from eBay (bad choice) and the lens was apparently damaged in transit and now I am stuck with a collapsed iris diaphragm. Even after opening a case with eBay, the best recourse I had was $75 towards repair. Thanks...

Anyway, it looks like I will need completely replace the diaphragm, but no one has given me direction on where and how to do that, if it is possible. At this point, I just want a lens that works - I'm not worried about the money.. though I'd prefer not to spend so much that I could just buy another lens. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

I'll also add that I have found a couple of experts who can do the work, just not sure on how to get the parts. THAT is the issue.

Probably not the seller's fault, the aperture blades in my 50/1.1 Nokton came apart within hours of my buying it brand new, I didn't even get through the first roll of film. The store I bought it from didn't seem surprised at how quickly it failed. They refunded my money, and I bought a Summilux to replace it,

Mine took days not hours. Cameraquest replaced it and the the replacement has been working fine.
