I want to thank everyone who bought prints from me last week. I raised more than $700, which has been a great help to us.

I mailed most of the prints today, and I hope to have the rest ready to ship tomorrow. Those of you in the USA should have your prints by the end of the week. The international buyers should have theirs by the end of next week.

I still have many, many more prints available if anyone else is interested. Here's my ad on the RFF Classifieds for the print sale.

I sent out more photos today! I am also emailing those whose photos have shipped to give them the tracking number, so be on the lookout for that.
 
Look what the mailman did to one of my prints!

This is one of the prints I sold to an RFF member. I packaged them with stiff foamboard inside a plastic print sleeve, inside a padded envelope. I've sent a lot of prints to people that way over the years and never once had one damaged.

The person who bought it said his postal carrier bent it to stuff into his mailbox. That took effort; foamboard does not bend, it BREAKS.

I'm sending him a new print to replace this one. If anyone else has theirs destroyed by the mailman, please let me know.

On my way to the post office to ship out more prints! Tonight, you'll get an email from me with a tracking number if yours was one I shipped today.

I know one person has received his print (see the post above with the bent print, courtesy of the USPS). Has anyone else gotten theirs yet?
 
The USPS standards for hiring have gone down a bit. We've got one carrier who won't deliver packages, he just leaves a pink slip in your box, even if you are home.

Here is it FedEx that does that. It is so bad that I refuse to do business with anyone who ships through FedEx. The local FedEx drivers are lazy, stupid, and worst of all, dishonest.

The post office and UPS are both really good here, I never have problems with the local mail carriers and UPS drivers delivering to me.
 
I just wanted to say I received my print today and I'm very happy with it. I even like the subject--and old car.

You must have gotten the 1946 Chevy in front of the old barn, right? I can't remember which prints went to who. The photo of that car was one I did as part of my graduation project for my fine arts degree from Indiana University Fort Wayne in 1998, 20 years ago!

The barn and the farmhouse where the old woman who owned the car lived are all gone, torn down years ago.
 
My box of prints arrived today. The visual impact of each of the prints makes me wonder if I got special consideration. Best purchase I have made so far this year.

Got my print over the weekend in great shape - one of yours that I remember from your website of the dock and a lonely chair. Very lovely, thanks!

Bob,

I know you like social documentary work, so I picked some that I thought you'd like. I had a few people ask for certain types of photos (example: Can you send me a landscape?) and I tried to accommodate them if I could. Aside from that that, there was nothing special about the prints I sent. I actually sent a couple of them to others as well since I had two copies of them.

I'm glad you like them. Thanks :D
 
I shipped another batch of prints this afternoon. Everything I have sold has now been shipped. If you haven't gotten it yet, you'll receive an email from me tonight with the tracking number.

Thanks again to everyone who bought prints. This has helped us a lot! I do still have many more prints if anyone else is interested!
