Hi!
I will be working as avalanche technician in Hakuba (Japan) this winter. I have this idea to sell my M8 and go all film, taking my M6 and T3 only. I would shoot b/w and self-develop, but also use C41 films. It seems analog photography is very alive and popular in Japan. Now...how is the situation with labs in smaller places, like Nagano, and how are prices?
Thanks,
Peter

I'm still kind of new here but I'm in Tokyo and need help finding super cheap used cameras... found film, fuji 800z 5 pack for ¥3650. Much cheaper than SF, but I am looking for hidden treasures. Anyone have any ideas? I'm planning a trip to the Cosina specialist headquarters in Nagano to get my R-D1 serviced and from there I'll hop on a train to Niigata--I heard there are treasures there

One more thing....what about medium format films? Any idea whether Kitamura does those too? Eying up a Hasselblad but not sure if for Japan or wait for after....
Cheers!
