I'm on my third roll of film through my Ebay Aria and the raised area on the camera back comes to a sharp peak and the rubberized coating is coming off like it was rubber cement. What can I apply to halt this erosion?

I wish I had an answer for you, my Aria hasn't displayed that problem (knock in wood). You might call Tocad as they handle Contax servicing, maybe they can recommend something?

you could try the following. They may make you one cos they do a lot of contax models.

Aki won't be able to help.
The best thing is thin double sided tape. I use it a lot for sticking covers back on. It's what was used in the factory - they didn't use glue.
You might find the rubber has become stretched and won't go back down perfectly but there's not much you can do about that.

The wrong glue will eat rubber so be careful what you use.
