Need help from Czech/Slovak members - Meopta part

Hi,

It's been a long time since I last posted on RFF, but this is still the best place to ask for help

Anyway, I'm having a bit of a problem locating an accessory for my Meopta enlarger - Magnifax 4 - I need the fine focus knob - the one which allows VERY fine focus on the Magnifax.

On Meopta Web site it's called "Focusing micromotion device", and can be seen HERE.

I've located those knobs in various shops in Germany and UK, but the shipping costs the sellers/shops are asking are extremely high

So, if anyone in Prague or thereabouts (or perhaps in Slovakia?) can purchase this little knob for me and send it by the cheapest mail possible, I'll be eternally in your debt

I can send the payment in cash or send the payment in EUR to your IBAN account, if you prefer that...

I do order at Fotoimpex in the mid to the end of January so no shipping costs to my home would apply. The price is € 21,90

Shipping costs to Croatia are:

not insured and no tracking: € 8,60
insured and tracking: € 30,- :bang:
If the size fits (max. LxDxH 900 mm) I could send it as a letter: €4,50
Signed delivery (extra): 2,05

Yup, shipping from Germany to Croatia - 30 EUR!!!
(about 50% more than the item is worth.....)

I don't know the size of the item but I think it would be possible to send it as a signed letter. I have a Opemus 6a and I don't think this fine focusing knob is much larger than mine so a signed letter should fit.

If you can't get it earlier send me a PM until the 10th of January and I will get it with my next order.

Frank, the problem is not in contacting them, or getting the part from them - like I said, I already found the knob at shops in UK and Germany - the problem is the excessive shipping charge (registered package with tracking, etc..). Combined with a hassle I have to go through if I buy from a store abroad (lots of paperwork and extra Customs charges once it arrives), and it adds up, being very expensive for a plastic knob
So I just need someone to get it for me and ship uninsured.

Martin, they deal only in sports optics (as in rifle scopes), and are dealers of rifle/hunting equipment only - even if I could get hold of them (which I haven't been able to do for the past week or so....).
