Hi, this is the first time I post here I have learned every thing about leica from you all here, so thank you all here as I'm from Egypt and have no Leica dealer or market.
Now I'm thinking to buy used 50mm Lux 46mm pre asph or 35mm Lux 43mm pre asph ( is this ok for 35mm ver ) for low light use.
I will visit Paris in a very short trip and will have 1 day 3 Nov. So, I need your advise in suggesting a good reputation shop selling used Leica and their info if possible so I can call them first.
Also Please let me know what is the market price now or the 2 mentioned lenses .
Thanks again
I have M4-p, M6 TTL, M8, zeiss 21mm Biogon, Elmarit 28mm 49mm, Summicron 35mm Asph, 50, 75 Apo and 90mm Apo.
Thank you all

Hello Mohamed,
welcome to the Forum and nice to see that rangefinder photography is "alive" in Egypt!
I visited Paris recently, several second hand gear camera shops including the Leica store can be found on Boulevard Beaumarchais, which goes north from Place de la Bastille. Best to take the métro to Bastille and walk north on the boulevard to Place de la République (shops can be found on both sides of the Boulevard).
Unfortunately I cannot recommend you any specific shop there, as I have no buying experience there, I was just window shopping a bit. My impression is that prices are on the high side and I had heard that before. The pre-asph Lux 35/50 are not so common on the used market may prove difficult to find, even in Paris.
Maybe someone living in Paris can chime in and provide you with the addresses and telephone numbers?

John
take Beaumachais north two blocks from Place de la Bastille. The Leica shop will be on your right. There are a number of other interesting camera shops within the block.

Thank you all for your kind reply Unfortunatly the visit to paris has encountered another un expected matter; my M8 with 8000 shutter has complained from drive blocked , Shutter fault alyhough firmware 2.5 has been uploaded before. For bad luck for 2 days shops are closed in Paris 2,3 Nov. because of official holiday due to early November (a special relegious holiday)
However I went to a shop named fotosuffren and ended with buying Billingham 107 black with 2 leica black lables and 2 release buttons red and black.
I called Leica Germany to advise me with place in paris where I can fix my M8 problem, they said you have to send it to germany as all shops in paris used to do and they estimated the fix about 1000 euro or less and they will inspect the camera to fiindout the reason if it from camera they will fix it for free otherwise will charge me. She said also this will take about 3 months but if I'm in harry I can pay 110Euro then they will fix it in 3-5 days.
I told the lady in the phone do you know that we are leica users are fully disapointed for this problem with M8 she said ; yes we know.
Now I will enjoy my real Leica M4-p & M6TTL with some films untill I send it to Germany and see what will be.
Thank you all again and would be very glad to see you in Egypt.
