Negatives & slide organization?

All negatives are scanned to CD.

The CD is uploaded to iPhoto for storage.

The uncut negs are kept in film containers with the date of dev/scan written on them.

my negatives get cut into strips of 6, put into sleeves and taped onto the back of the contact sheet. i cut a little tab on the contact sheet, date them with a brief description, 3 hole punched and placed in binders. when i do scan a negative to make prints, i usually place a code on the back of the print to find the negative again. the worthy prints get burned to cd and stored for future printing.

All my Negs are stored in pages in binder boxes. These are organized by format first, and then chronologically. I use iView Media Pro to digitally organize everything. There is a great resource called The Dam Book that gives good advice on Digital Asset Management. I want to get myself a decent flatbed, though, to make digital proofs of all the sheets in my binders.....at some point after I get the basement digital darkroom built out....so much to do....I need like a year off from shooting commercially to get my personal work organized properly.
