Hi guys,
I couldn't find much info anywhere on pushed NP1600 at all, let alone with Ilford LC29.

I pushed it to 3200 and processed for 14 minutes (just a random guess) at 20ºC, agitating once a minute.

Here's a few examples:

These were shot with an M3 and Summarit 50/1.5 lens and have had very, very minimal post processing.

Hope that is in some way useful to someone ;-)

Nice shots, and a good guess at the development time.

I am also about to embark on developing my (underexposed) film, but in this case Tri-X (ASA 400) exposed at ASA 1600.

I have read somewhere that a good rule-of-thumb is to increase the development time (from the base recommended time) by 20% for every stop pushed. Ben, how does this measure up to your guess?

Can someone confirm this rule-of-thumb? i.e. for pushing by 2 stops, would I need to increase my dev time by 44%? Does this generally work for most film/developer/concentration combinations?

Hmmm well I normally develop for 10 minutes in LC29, so this was a 40% increase for 1 stop.

I would have thought there'd be a fair bit of data on tri-x around, after all it is a pretty venerable film. Someone should have some info.

Good luck, and show us your results!
