I logged on to Megaperls Webshop today, to order three more 30m rolls of Fuji Super Presto (Neopan 1600), while it is still available.
While I was at it, I ordered some Fuji Super Prodol (SPD), which according to Silvergrain Wiki, is a formula which resembles Geoffrey Crawley's FX-37. It's a rapid process, push process developer in powder form. I wonder how it works with Neopan 1600? Is FX-37 like Patterson Acuspeed developer?
Cleaning around my darkroom stuff, I uncovered 4-300ml unopened bottles of Paterson Acutol, purchased a few years ago. Paterson FX-39 developer has been recommended to me recently by a knowledgable user, who says it's all I will need. Acutol and FX-39 seem fairly interchangable, from the information I have found. Anybody tried Acutol or FX-39 with Super Presto?
I also have a gallon size Diafine kit, and gallon size Acufine, available to try with the Presto 1600. I'm fairly confident those will work nicely, from what I have seen here.
-Dan, used to shoot a lot of 2475 Recording film, and Super Presto is -way- better than that stuff
