I've had a dedicated hdd / card reader, image viewer for a few years, and for less than the price of that, now have an asus netbook with 160gb of storage that is great for keeping my photos, as well as basic computing stuff. The keyboard is way too tiny to replace a notebook for me, but the small size and low weight (2.2 lbs), with built in webcam and mic make it a handy photography accessory, plus more.

I have the msi version rebranded as an Advent very neat little device ideal for backing up cards etc along with picking up emails etc. I have Lightroom on mine so that the photos are imported with the same file ordering as I use on my macs

Ted, my friend recently bought the 3-cell version for $350. I liked it a lot. A netbook is on my shopping list for the near future. I would use it as a wifi-enabled coffee shop and travel machine. I don't mind the tiny keyboard because I'm used to those Windows CE mini-notebooks from a few years back.

Hi Warren
Hi Warren
I think mine has 4 cells, but I mainly picked over Acer because of easy upgradeability.
I'd highly recommend you test drive one out. The keyboard is really really tiny and I have small hands.
