Ok, I finally got around to posting some of my San Francisco shots. I shot in RAW and processed all of them with Capture One. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to process each shot. I mainly bump the exposure composition down a little if something is blown out, try the high contrast option to see if I like it, and turn up the sharpening perhaps.

What are other people doing with Capture One? What sharpening parameters are people using? Is there something else I should be doing? Is it worth it to go through PhotoShop for anything? I'm getting used to the Capture One interface.

Let me know what you think...

Regards,

Larry

Larry,

I have posted an image in my gallery that was exposed using the 50mm f/1.4. In Capture One, I set the Sharpening Method to Soft, the Amount to 100 and the Threshold to 5. Everything else was maintained at the original camera settings.

Larry,

The other approach to blown highlights is to use the curves tab - if you grab the upper right corner and pull it down, this will reduce highlights while having minimal effect on overall exposure. Of course you can do a lot of other tonality changes while you're at it...
