Hi everyone,
I just registered here, after I bought a 35 cc (yes, it's a nice camera...). This forum seems like a great place, and I'm hoping to learn a lot here. My question now is, does anyone know of a new camera case that fits the cc? I'm not looking for a big bulky thing, rather as slick as possible but still providing some protection. I guess there are even fewer original cases that there are cameras...

Thanks,
Lars-Anders

Tough one. Most of these cameras were not made to a specific dimension. I'm thinking "maybe" the case for the Canonet? The CC case will be most difficult to find. Yeah, best bet might be a Canonet 28 case, I happen to have both cameras but can't get to the Canonet at the moment. I'll try it on the CC and let you know a little later. If it doesn't fit, best not drive yourself crazy about it and just enjoy a fine semi-rare vintage camera. There's a reason they're refered to as "never-ready cases" anyway. Just keep a small plastic grocery bag folded up on your person somewhere in case you have it out and it starts raining. Though I use the bottom half of the case when out with the CC it does add bulk to the camera.

The CC fits nicely (better than expected, actually) into a Canonet 28 ever ready case top and bottom. Once small problem, though, is the tripod screw on the Canonet 28 case does not align with where the CC's tripod socket is. Seems like it would be a fairly easy issue to resolve by drilling a hole and moving the screw into the proper position but I've never tried it.

You'll never find a CC case unless someone steps forward here. You can probably get a Canonet 28 case on eBay. Hell, for the price, get a camera along with the case.

Very interesting topic -- if you do try this out please let us know if it works since I am sure more of us would be tempted to follow your example!
