i heard there will be a new digital rangefinder and that it imprints a message on every image, and the message is 'film sucks'!

It's been a little quiet on the CV front. The announcement of the 50/2 and 50/3.5 LTM lenses took me by surprise, even though it was a limited run.

Who knows what Mr.K has up his sleeves. Other than past records of introducing really fast lenses or bringing old ltm lenses into M mount I haven't a clue.

On a serious note. Something very wide and fast from Mr K. would be very popular, I think. I'd love a 24mm f1.4 but there's no way I can afford Leicas product. Joe

Yes, Darren... I've been thinking the same for months: something's coming soon...

But nothing... Apart from the 1.1 and the Heliars, it's been long since.

I guess they've been planning moves for the next decade after such a great and successful line of top sellers they gave the world.

I think one or two M mount real pancakes would be massive sellers... Something like a 28/4 and a 50/4. Those would mean fast cash for CV.

A compact Bessa IV with interchangeable lenses starting with a collapsible 80 would be a GAS starter too...

How about rereleasing the 28/3.5 in M mount? I'd buy one.

Also a less expensive 50/2 would be pretty sweet.

Maybe Mr K.'s setting up his own line of film just to keep it going and just in case the need ever arises to take over from Kodak.. Or maybe he's just planning his takeover to merge the manufacturing of all the different films under a single venture... 😉
