Wasn’t sure how to title the thread, and even less sure if people would be interested, but here is a link to some information on another forum posted by someone who is attempting to create a better mousetrap, with regards to home film processing.

Surprisingly, it hasn’t received significant play over at APUG. Not sure why, though it takes a few minutes to look at the videos and understand what he’s doing, as it might not be immediately obvious. Seems very slick to me, if it does a nice job, even the scanning option, though he hardly even mentions that. It’s like a nitrogen burst processor, instead of rotary, no bigger than a breadbox.

Seemed potentially noteworthy to me, and and amazing effort for home brew, though I might be a bit Pollyanna-ish. Cost aside, I’d want one, if it yielded professional results, and I can’t see why it wouldn’t. Makes a Jobo seem antediluvian.

Larry, Thanks for sharing!

That machine could be really useful in my shop.

Sometimes I get a backlog of test rolls (any more than 4) and it takes the good part out of a afternoon developing them 1 or 2 at a time then running them through the scanner. Time I could be rolling films and refining packaging. At this point I only get 2 maybe 3 days out of the week to work on my film. Hopefully taking it up full time this spring with a web store.

The air burst agitation is something I am not familiar with but for my needs I’m sure it would be fine. After all I’m developing test rolls, never keepers.

Gonna watch this one closely!
