New fw for Quattro and a spp update

I can't Sigma Photo Pro 6 (latest update) to work. Crashes as soon as I click on a photo in the file viewer on the right. I thought this would work with Merrill files. I reinstalled my Mac OS fresh, and still having the same issues.
 
Hmmm. Spp is still a work in progress. I am not planning on even using the new spp until the 6.1 promised drop myself after playing around w/ 6.01.

Btw which Mac OS are u running?

Just for grins, I tried spp 6.0.5. It hangs in the file browser. Their application development and test team leave a lot to be desired. I am also on latest version of mac osx.

I got 6.0.5 to work for me by going into spp file browser and changing it to only look for sigma raw files (.3xf), then selected view thumbnail in one of the default values. It looks like as a prior user, the correct default info for new spp was left in a weird state.

I have been monitoring the two Quattro threads at getdpi. It is looking encouraging over there. The fw fix may address the color issue that would make monochrome an issue for me.. I may give it a try soon.

I tried that. And I'm in 6.0.5 as well. In the browser window, I get blank icons. Double click to open, and it crashes. I guess I'll just have to wait. Even if I wanted a DP2Q, it would be impossible for me to use, hmm. This could be disastrous.
 
I had the blank icons as well...

First time I double clicked the icons just as u did and crashed. Then....I thought about it for a couple of days and decided if the issue was the viewing options then I needed to be able to restore the blank icons first w/ their real thumbnails. This is when I went to 3xf thumbnails only and played w/ the settings for thumbnail size. First was going to small thumbnail.. I later changed to others.. I could c my thumbnail images now and when I changed directories refresh was pretty good. Now when I double clicked the thumbnail, it work.
