So i picked up a lot of a G and a GSN off the bay for a pretty good price of 65 with shipping, came with cases, aux lenses, and a few filters. Now the fun part, they came today, and i had known the G had the problem of the film door being stuck, and i had intentions of fixing it. I get it and the aperture is also not responding along with the front lens being loose.
Naturally i start to unscrew it, comes right off and looks like the wire connections were cut at somepoint as the aperture lever being broken off. Is there any easy way to get a new aperture ring and whats the best way to go about fixing said wires? Theres still about a 1.5cm sticking out from the body that i could possibly solder new wires into and then run them to the front element? Any help would be great.!
