Alright, this may be old news to some, but it's new to me.
First, I hate the hood that comes with this lens--doesn't attach properly to filters.
Thus, a while ago, I ordered at 52mm hood (straight, non-vented) from heavystar (ebay name--some will be familiar). Works ok, but blocks some of the viewfinder.
At that time, there were no 52mm vented hoods to be had.
Yesterday I got on ebay and started looking, and found this bad boy:
http://cgi.ebay.com/52mm-Metal-Curved-vented-Lens-Hood-Leica-Voigtlander-/220812850812?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336978b67c#ht_1049wt_1032
I ordered one.
For those who are interested, you're welcome.

yes I have one of those.
the 1.2/35 gets too looong with it though, it stays on the 1.5/50.

Good to know. Glad that it works for you.

Thanks for the headsup, Wil. This looks very similar to the VH-3, that sells for GBP75 over here!
Just placed my order, saving about 80% if it's any good!

Should be fine. I have a 40.5mm angled/vented for my m-Hexanon 50mm f/2 and I couldn't be happier. (got it from heavystar)
It is screw in, as opposed to bayonet, so you have to stack it on top of any filters (I use uv/haze/protective on all my lenses) and that can kinda mess with the alignment of the vented section, but not much, and it's not a real issue.

Update:
Got it today. Fits great. Even over a filter--vent lines up fine.
Pick one up.

It's official... I'm buying one of these on Friday for my 50mm f/1.2 if there are any left.

Nikon F - so the vented part of the hood isn't necessary but it's the same price (actually less) than the metal Nikon hood, plus then I can use it on other lenses

You can also order them from Photo Village. I have several and love them.

Just got it in the mail yesterday from rainbowimaging.
I plan on getting the 50mm Nokton later on for an M camera, so at that point in time, this hood will pretty much be on whatever lens is being used that day.

Just got mine the other day too..........now on my LHSA TTL M6 0.85 BP and VC f1.5/50 the hood is a perfect fit and you get to see more through the VF then with the factory hood.

Very nice! This is actually the same setup I'm hoping to have eventually... might bide my time with a Bessa R3m, but definitely hoping to get a .85 M6.
