New M/L39 Adapter dosen't lock on....

Hi All,

My new black Bessa-T arrived today from Stephen G (so much for next week)🙄 Great camera, I have not made a mistake.

I bought an off-brand M/L39 lens adapter from some place in Iowa, and it fits tightly, but dosen't "lock on" with a click as did my old Leicas.

Anybody else ever had this problem? I suppose I'll need another adapter😱

I'm pretty sure I got the same adapter from the guy in Swisher, IA. Mine had burrs from the machine process to make it, but past that, it does lock into place.

I had to turn it hard to get it to lock the first time. It works more smoothly now, as I switch between my 15mm and 40mm lens regularly.

Update.....
My Leitz M2 Adapter is here. Interestingly, with both adapters, my Canon 1.2 (looking straight on) sits at 1 o'clock, with either adapter. Go figure.

My VC 35mm 1.7 Ultron sets up at exactly 12 o'clock, as it should.

So my only real issue with the cheapo adapter is that the slot cut for the body switch needs to be cut deeper. I can do that with a dremel and jewelers file.

The guy I bought it from is going to look into my issues, and will respond back. That is acceptable.

Does he machine the parts himself? I'd love to swing by his shop sometime when I'm over in eastern IA visiting my mom.
