Hi All,
I "think" I just had a bit of good luck. Picked up a black Yashica Electro 35 Professional (No Gxx) in very good cosmetic condition (same goes for the lens), with original case for 4$ at a market yesterday.
I´m quite impressed with the heft that it has - I imagined that they were much smaller.
No battery installed (I see at this as a good thing) so I'll have to find a battery before I can test it out. I wasn't even on the lookout for one - but noticed it and just grabbed it without thinking really.
I can't seem to find a lot of info on this particular model on the net, anybody care to enlighten me? Anything that I should be mindfull of?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Meakin

Anyone please explain me this phenomena other ways than just "because of good karma"
I think from point of Yashicaholic this is incredible catch.
From practical side it's the same as any other early YEG35. Anyway, my congrats on this...success, not less!
Uh ah, Yashica Guy lists "Professional" badged variety in beginning of Electro 35 page.

btgc: Thanks for that link - missed it first time around, very informative.
Todd: About that "Clunk" ?? only clunk I get, is just as you advance the film lever? - definitely no clunk when I press the shutter (except a very low sounding "snip") Or do I need a battery installed to hear it?

By the way without batteries u can use it at 1/500 speed, or 1/30 if you put it to B (flash bulb setting).

Pherdinand: Thanks, just what I was hoping to hear. This thing is growing on me - can't wait to put a roll through it.
