I saw an SP this week and had a strong GAS attack. It was a good deal, and too hard to pass up. But now that I have it, it seems too nice to use. But of course I will ;)

Hope you won't consign her to the depths of your safe - such a thing of beauty begs to be used (carefully, of course). ;)

Although I'm not a Nikon RF fan those SPs always make me go wow!

If Nikon were to ever whack a digital sensor in one of those the way Leica did with the M (unlikely I realise) there'd be a whole new fan base! They would probably have to change a few dimensions as Lieca did with the M8 but surely it's doable.

I don't much care for the way they handle, but nevertheless, I think the SP is THE most beautiful camera ever made! Stainless steel and black enamel steampunk.

Hmm. Doesn't seem completely out of the question for a company that has re-issued a really obsolete camera twice in the last ten years or so.

What a superlative camera! Just gorgeous. I have a mint S3 2000 and I do use it - lavishly protected by its Luigi half case. I just love it - despite my Leicas and othe nice stuff...TW

It is a great camera. I worked for a major international wire service and in the days before the Nikon F SLR a lot of the staff photogs used SP rangefinders and got great negs. At the time, I had a Leica 3F with several lenses because for one thing I could not afford a new Nikon SP. Enjoy that beauty.

You are a lucky man, been tempted a couple of times but . . . . .

Hopefully you will post some photographs when you put the first roll through the SP!
