New Non-Fuji 40mm f 0.85 XF Lens Announced

German IB/E Optics and Shanghai Transvision announced a Ibelux 40mm f/0.85 lens will be available in XF mount. The cost is expected to be around $2K.

The lens will be available for other mirrorless camera mounts as well.
 
[UDPATE] Kipon also announces Baveyes 0.7x optic adapter series for Fujifilm X and Sony E mount here. They will sell it from Jan 10 2014,the price is around $300. “The 0.7x adapter is a high quality optical adapter. It converts fullframe lenses into APS-C lenses. The advantage is to get the fullframe field of view onto the APS-C sensor. It works best with wide angle lenses”

looks like I might be getting another X-Pro1 soon then

edit: bummer, Leica R lens, not M :(
 
The kipon is basically a speedbooster clone... To get the space needed for the optics u need to use slr lenses.

That thing will be a brick and a half. What happened to all of the "why would anybody put a huge lens on a small camera?" complaints.

I'll complain... it's too big. ;) And too expensive for my taste. I don't trust mirrorless companies yet with regard to the longevity of their mounts, so I try to keep my purchases relatively cheap.
 
That's why it should go on a x pro body :p. it is big .. But doesn't look any bigger than my nikon afs 50f1.4 on my metabones speed booster that I use on my xp1. Gary

And yet still 2000 dollars which for such a no name brand probably remounting some CCTV lens they use to watch us with. In the last two years here in the city where I am they installed over 1.5 million new CCTV cameras, outpacing the last guy who only did 500,000 a year for 3-4 years.

Guess they had some leftover glass.
