cheers, all. "cass" is her name, cassandra. "prim and proper" were a shoot on tuesday so these are just working proofs, subject to change and disappear at will. three more models to shoot yet, maybe a fourth, male. all up, probably ten models from this series. and 42 years of negatives to go back to if i need to "fill in" or add a "retrospective" element to the exhibition. all models are amateurs, people i know or friends of friends. ages range from 50 to 22. age means nothing to beauty.
there was a thread a few weeks back about how to find models. all you need is one to start then you have images to show to talk to others about. an ad in the uni newspaper or backpackers hostels is always good. but i work within my own circle of friends... you never know who is going to show up from an ad.
images are processed in photoshop as RAW, shot on film R4M or RD1S or Digilux-3 for this project, film is scanned in Nikon V ED. other shots, not up yet, are RB-S or Fuji GW690. i create my own overlays and filters, photographing textures and then manipulating them by hand and re-photographing them. a combination of film, digital, hand printing and re-photographing for re-digitisation. involved and can be complicated and certainly time-consuming.
