You used to be able to send money from your Paypal balance for free. They now charge $1.50 per transaction. Or, as always if you have a CC attached you can pay ~3%. Also the ability to send to F&F seems to have been removed. If you send money you can get buyer's protection - at an additional fee to the seller.

When you say "send money from your paypal balance..." do you mean as part of buying something, like on ebay?

I've used Gift method in the past couple of days. Don't know about transferring to my bank fee, haven't tried that since they did away with letting you hold a balance.

Thanks for the info, Beenermark. I buy quite a lot on ebay and I was beginning to worry a bit.

I use PayPal for quite a lot besides eBay to pay and recieve money. Now if they are going to charge me to hold and spend my money I might go back to paper checks.

I wouldn't blame you, Beenermark.
I'll have to try and remember this surcharge for the occasional times I use paypal on non-ebay sites.
