I lucked out... Just picked up a very nice R6.2.

I love this thing. Completely manual with the battery for the meter and self timer only.
Coming from rangefinders, the shutter seems rather loud. 🙄

This thing is really well built. It reminds me of a pre TTL M6... And I like the interchangeable focus screens.

Anybody else have one here?

I'll post some pics soon.

Wow! Great timing as I have been reading up on them and collecting information all weekend on the 6.2!

I love my R4 and can only imagine the 6.2....but it would be nice to have one to go with the R4.

Hey, post some pictures of that beauty!😉 And congratulations!

when i got my r4 a month ago,

i was disappointed that the ergonomics
was quite lousy:
* no on/off switch
* EV compensation can't be easily done without
looking and needs both hands to change (!)

I didn't know whether to shoot in Aperture priority or Manual.

Then I found out that in Manual, it defaults to Spot metering,

which is really neat. And necessitates shooting in spot metering

with manual controls. So no "A" or "P" for me, just "M".

Attached is a pic from the R4 + 50 cron combo.

The r6.2 is a gem, i had a chrome one that i bought from a son who was selling all the leica stuff of his father...i let it go in favour of m system...

From time to time o got tempted to get me a r7 which is a fraction of the cost of an m7 and has every m7 capabilities...even the size is not much larger than the m7...

Congrats & enjoy!!!!

Yep, still got mine, it was for sale on here but no takers, my gain, I can still use my lenses, really great cameras and seem to be overlooked in favour of the M series.
(Well it is a rangefinder forum after all)

Enjoy it, I find the operation sublime.

Beautiful!

I love the grip...

An 80 Lux is amazing. Have been shooting one on my R4 for little while now and I can't wait to get out the door to use it! It will be a perfect match for the exquisite 6.2....

Thanks Dave

Search "R-Grip GMP Products" on eBay. I paid about $50 for mine including shipping from the US.

A pic from Google.

through a strange chain of reasoning you motivated me to buy a R7 instead of a Minolta X700...now if the lenses weren't that expensive (compared to Minoltas superb offerings)

🙂
