So i've been wanting something a bit more professional and clean looking than flickr, tried out smugmug and zenfolio, with the help of the 'heroes" at smugmug i've decided to go with them. It seems like you get a whole lot more options in customization with smugmug and the people there were able to help me with all my questions.
Anybody else here use smugmug or even zenfolio? i'd like to see your site and creative one can really get with it. Also has anyone received prints from smugmug i've been how good the quality is.

I looked at a bunch of different sites and went with smugmug, too. Nothing fancy, just the basic service with a bit of customization. They keep improving it on a regular basis. I've never ordered a print myself (hard to believe), but no one has ever complained either, and when I ask people I know who have ordered, they are very pleased with the prints. I used to have a standard smugmug account, but did not renew. Can't really explain it, but the standard account was just somehow lacking. I signed up with flickr just to check it out, but will not be renewing next month. I have signed up with zenfolio, and so far, so good. I like the look and feel.
If I were a pro and expected to generate online sales, the pro smugmug account seems to be the way to go. But for a standard account, while smugmug is a more mature presence, I prefer zenfolio at time. Ask me again come renewal time.

i decided to go with the account that was a step up from the standard account on smugmug after finding a coupon code. it allows a lot more customization and has this easy customization option which allows people like me who dont know html type stuff to make something presentable, thats why i think i chose smugmug over zenfoiio.
i've still got some more photos to upload after i try my best to rid the dust off these scans, it seems like joining this site has just created more work.
