Yeah price is way too much for that.. Lovely camera. If it was $1500 or so I would probably get it. But over 2 grand !!!!

i suspect the high price is due to the fact that its got an electronic leaf shutter vs the old mechanical ones... i recall from LF that those are more pricey

Also the yen has appreciated considerably in the last while. That can't have helped...

It's about ￥196000 in Tokyo, if you buy it as the Fuji GF-670. The weight is a little better than the Fuji GW models which I have been using up until now, and it does have an integral meter I suppose, but until they bring out the GF-690 I think I have to resist.
