Fellow members, finally I have my first website up and running. Any comments re layout, resolution of images etc would be greatly appreciated. At some point I hope to install a cart system but for now there is a contact form. It may also be an opportunity to show some of my work here as I have never been able to succesfully post images in threads. If this sublect would be better suited in another category mods please move.

Congratulations!

I like the website: simple, clean and clear, Megido, made all the more interesting by the excellent photographic content and quality. Only downside for me is that I would like to know a little about you and at least the location of the photos.

It’s a great start, and it looks like the format has plenty of room for development in the future.

All in all a great effort. I wish you success.

Loads quickly and easy navigation.

The ''about'' section is missing.
The ''maquette'' section is not clear.
No pricing info in the ''print'' section.

Cheers, OtL

Brian, Thank you for taking the time to look and comment. I struggled to think of something worthwhile for an 'about' section as I have no CV to speak of. I included an interview in the articles section instead. However, even a few lines in an 'about' page may be better.
I thought locations may detract from the maqutte images but for the other galleries it's a good point and shall include. Thank you once again for your helpful comments.

Thank you for taking the time to look and comment. Which part isn't clear re the maquette? The difference between slideshow and video? As for print prices, they should be under the 'ordering prints' unless you are referring to the darkroom printing service.

When offering services at a price, people will want to know who you are. Which is why the ''about'' section is advisable.

In the ''Maquette'' section you are using French and English...this is confusing to many of your potential customers.

Cheers, OtL

Mar, your website functionality aside, I wanted to say how much I enjoy the images there. You have a wonderful eye for making the ordinary special, and your processing is beautiful. Good luck with your site.

I do feel the About section is important. I think folks might be more likely to buy prints or darkroom services from someone they know a little about.
