some new work, test shot. rd1s, cv 50/1.5. printed on A3+ acetate, overlaid with photo-textured A3+ acetate, lightbox backlit and re-photographed with nikon d7000. printed on arches/canson aquarelle rag 300gsm, A3+ (13x19 in).

That's interesting and beautiful. I think you could have photographed the acetate with the texture and overlaid in photoshop over the original RD-1 image which would have been easier and possibly better final quality since there would not be re-photographing the original image.

i did this as a testiment to the traditional methods we used in film photography in germany in the 70s. last year i presented 54 works in a solo exhibition in melbourne using this technique. it took a year to produce these works, from shoot to hanging. 'better final quality' is an unknown quantity here given such a low res photo on this site. the final 13x19 print A3+ is quite crisp and the colours as saturated as they are intentionally muted. there is much more detail in 'real life' but then, detai3l is less important than impact. but thank you for taking the time to comment.
