hello all,

my m8 and 50/1.4 'lux,35/2 'cron and the 75 are speeding their way to me
from london. expect to have them 2-3 days ( hopefully ).

i wear eyeglasses, do i need anything special with my m8. i have the +3 diopter
ordered and the magnifier.

i guess my first challenge would be to get the focusing right. i feel this might
be a long learning curve for me.

i shall be asking for a lot of help,so please bear with me. are my lenses good
to start of with my type of image making.

thank you and best regards.

a pic to illustrate the type of images i like to make:

Welcome and enjoy your new camera and lenses.

Are the lenses you bought good for images like the nice one you posted? Sure.

I don't think you will have a problem with focusing. It was abit confusing for me at first considering the fact that I am new to photography and from a DSLR background. You'll get used to it very soon! :D

Welcome, faris! You are certainly starting with RF cameras at the high end! I hope it suits you well. Your very nice and saturated sample image looks like it was shot with a longer lens, but aside from that I think your new gear should be versatile and encompass that style.

Hi Doug,

thought it better to get one with it once and for all, so ordered the items.
95% of my images are taken with the 50/1.4 or 85/1.4 on a dslr. the 50/1.4 sees
more than 90% of that.

Bigger lenses..cant hold steady. that's why got the 50/1.4 and the 75. the 35/2 is
for 'just in case' .

i like underexposed and saturated images. exposing to the right and/or left to me
are generalisations which in most instances i ignore. depends only on the subject
and what i feel and want others to feel. do a fair bit of ps, if required.

thanks for your welcome. approach rf with trepidation.

Regards.
