I really really would love to have the 40/1.2 or maybe the 35/1.2 II or III nokton but there is one thing that throws me off: the uncoupled close focus.
I used to own the Ultron 35 II and I found it difficult to judge in close situations if I am spot on or actually focused too close, hence double checking and loosing the perfect moment. I actually did start to focus by setting it to the closest RF setting and moved myself in to focus distance of the subject.
Anyway I really disliked it. So my question regarding the lenses above .. is it the same?
I don't have live view and I don't want live view. This would be a deal breaker for me.
Why don't they add a little screw that can reduce the close focus distance to .65cm (to my knowledge the closest my M6 goes)?
Is it possible to mod them to do that?
(ALSO I do not want the f/1.4 lenses)

If the 35 1.2 II is in the running, then why not the VI?
To my knowledge there isn't much difference between the VI and VII other than the VII focuses closer, is a smidge smaller and the chrome ring.
Rumour has it that the VII only came about because of rare or expensive (I forget which) parts of the VI.

Yeah I suppose I need to think about that one. I always deemed it to be too big. I’d really wish the 40 would not focus below my RF coupling. 40mm is kinda my focal width
