So here is what a Sony NEX5 looks like with a Hoodman on it (and a Konica 24/2.8 AR lens). The combo is ugly as sin, but scratches my main itch about this camera: I find Dante's hip-grip like-a-TLR stance hard to master. While the set-up looks goofy the focus works well, especially with longer lenses where I can brace the camera against my forehead like the SLR this camera is descended from.
I just got a Leica-R adapter. The chip in the NEX5 is about the same size as that in the Leica DMR. So eat your hearts out DMR-istas! Now if only all this darn snow would melt.

Yeah, snagged that one from the mail room. Two knots and . . . easy peasy.
[Edit: maybe a little black Sharpie on the red rubber band would tone it down a notch . . . ]
