Just got the NEX 3 and an adapter to pop on my CV 35/1.4 SC. With the NEX # 1.3 firmware upgrade I can customize the buttons making this really easy to use and focus.
Let's see how it performs:

Shot at 800 ISO, F2.8, 1/30 sec

Shot 200 ISO f11, 1/320 sec

200 ISO, F 11, 1/125 sec notice a bit of highlight blow out.

800 ISO f1.4, 1/30 sec notice the bokeh

A very satisfying photo day.

i think it looks nice.

how do you feel about the ergonomics of the nex3?

Good on the standard zoom, and on the M mount lenses. Not good on the Sony 16mm lens (too small). Because the body is so small, the lens is the steady force and works well with the bigger lenses.

A nice set, especially the portrait - you might try that one in B&W. I am more and more tempted to go with a Nex for my RF lenses. The shots look really great to me - state of the art APS-C.

Holy smokers! I was on the fence about the Nex as my next M mount camera, but this is wobbling me off! Did you choose the 3 instead of the 5 because you didn't require the better video and metal body?

Cool.
I don't like the bokeh on shot 4, and don't like the B/W in general.

The portrait is nice!

Most important would be your subjective feeling using the set up.

Got the Nex 3 instead of 5 because the higher video is not needed, The one in the 3 is awesome but I am new to video. I also got the 3 because I would take less of a hit if I got squashy for a 7 or 9 or whatever later. I didn't care for the bokeh either but it is so adjustable because you see the results on the LCD before you shoot the shot. I will try some other lenses, plus get a Nikon AIS adapter, too. This is so dang enjoyable.

Very nice, thanks for posting. These images have a smoothness that I can't seem to get from my EP-2. Still, I think I'd miss the EVF!

I thought I would too, but now I would not want to squint into a small hole to compose a shot, optical or electronic.

You sure like your Nex-3, don't you! Nice shots. And because of you I spent some money last week - waiting for the Nex-3 to come on Monday...;-) (Thanks, by the way...)
