Does anyone here know, for sure, when the next shipment is to happen?
Been really quiet lately, not surprisingly. I bet all the elves in Solms are burning the midnight oil.

Should be this week. I will ask a couple of dealers I know and see if they can confirm.
 
Asked my dealer in London today, still no news, "well, how could I tell you something that they don't tell me!!?"" he said......

doesn't feel quite well.....
 
Testy Brits! Kidding. I'm not asking my dealer (Popflash) for the same reason. Maybe Jorge will find out. Thanks Jorge! You and RFF are the best. Of course I didn't drive hundreds of miles to go pick up my M8! That's an inside joke.

Well, if they have a brain in their noodle it would have to be before Christmas. Otherwise, what was the point in rushing the first shipment out before all of the bugs were fixed?

Thre's a note on Phil Askey's site in which somebody says that he's been notified that Amazon is shipping his M8, and he should have it by Thursday...for whatever it's worth.
 
I talked to Tony Rose today, and he told me that he did not expect to receive the next shipment for about two weeks. Since I am number 30 something or other in line, I am not expecting to receive it until after New Years. That said, the filters are not supposed to be ready until february anyway right?

my friend got his chrome m8 from amazon today. firmware 1.06.
serial is 3103xxx.

anyone know what the serial number cutoff for the fix is? i guess we'll know tomorrow..

I’m leaving for a two month shoot in central Mexico on 16 December. Any idea where I might buy an M8 prior to departure?
 
I was hoping to see mine this week. Now the ship date has changed and it seems that they won't be delivered for a week or too. I'll be lucky if I get mine by the end of the year.

Amazon is quoting M8 delivery after 22 December as of now. Can you confirm that shipment described above, please?

i am the friend that butter71 is referring to.

i placed my order for a silver M8 with amazon.com on october 26th and it shipped december 5th.

leicabug - i honestly have no idea.

i confirmed i have firmware 1.06 but because of my immediate workload otherwise haven't gotten to shoot much of anything with it (beyond taking it out of the box and seeing that it worked).

i was able to confirm, however, the magenta issue. ;-)

Rather than get a flawed one from amazon, I'll wait and get the fixed version. Already have an IR filter ready to go. Wild looking thing it is. Cool colors and shimmery.
Popflash sent out a notice about how they'll handle the new shipment. Give Tony credit for being upfront.

Tony told me last week that it should be around 2 weeks, so I thought next week we might see a few. Anybody can confirm? I just don't want to pester him. Thanks
