So bottom line w/ the latest fw update, your xe2 becomes a xt10 equivelant :), the only difference is really about grip, feel of the controls and max high ISO (1 stop better but it's extended - jpg only). My money would be on original xe2.

Given the price of used xe2's, I can c why Joe opted to trade an xe1 for a xe2:)

It will be interesting to c what they do about the next gen, xe3...

sounds like a trip to fujifilm.com is in order...if i want to learn how to use my xe2 ver 4 then i need to read the x10 manual...

Just got my XE-2s to go with my XE-2 this morning. Tried my Fuji 14 and 23 on it; and the auto focus is very , very fast and super quiet. Now I can leave my 23 on the new body and switch a couple of other lens on the XE-2. Just hate this dust business when changing.

do you have the ver 4 update on the xe2?

wondering if the new body is faster than the older one with the new firmware...

Actually, the dealer and I looked for what version it was, and it did not come up for him. Were wondering if it is completely new to the camera model?. My dealer I have known all his life, with his father being a Leica/Canon dealer prior; and he was the 1st dealer back in the early 90's to go completely digital. The camera functions are faster than in my XE-2 with the 4.0 upgrade. Again, it is very quick and silent.

so the new body (xe2s) is quicker than the xe2 with ver 4 added...i'll have to live with that i guess...though i am quite pleased with the upgraded xe2...

So am I pleased with the 4.0 upgrade on the XE-2. We were thinking there this morning that "maybe" the future upgrades for the XE-2 will be slower coming now that this new model is out. Time will tell?
