Fair question.
It simply means that I hope others will post their own images of their own version of nightmares, whether current or past. This is the first of a series I will post. It began in 2008 and continues to this day (it was the last job I will ever have), and it is not alone with it's evil nightmare siblings popping up every night with visions of the ER, hospital beds, loneliness and worse.
Why post these? Why not? Is it not good to express emotions in a photograph? I dunno, maybe it is. But something tells me that we all have suppressed emotions. Hopefully this can be a healing exercise for everyone. So, post away!

The best camera is one that still works!
This is my nightmare ... and I still haven't quite worked out the source of it yet!

Hipsterdufus - those are certainly interesting photos. I particularly like the first, but all are good for their surrealism.
Dave - I certainly hope this helps in you healing, as well as any others who may see this.

Keith - I see an undefineable angst in those photos. Especially the 3rd which I would title "Ode to the illusive X-100?"
The last is interesting. How did you acheive it, in camera or PP?

Angst ... that describes it well. LOL
Definitely in camera ... which was suspended from the ceiling on a piece of string and rotated, using the self timer while I lay on the floor.
I did a whole series of them ... a couple scared the bejesus out of me!

Nice job! Especially the first one!A lot of what I photograph are interpretations of dreams(also nightmares).

Yeow!! These are certainly "interesting," to say the least!!!
Some are frightening---
DaveL--I guess we can talk about this later--but--why would that be the LAST job you'll ever have?

Figured I'd "revive" this W/NW:

Keith, those rotation shots are scary alright - looked like bedspin nightmares!

Keith - I see what you mean by scaring yourself. I never tried that. I did suspend a light with two pieces of string to cause uneven rotation, then photographed its dimishing swing while changing colored filters. All on a 6x7 slide with my Super Press 23. Kind of interesting. But not scary like yours. I'll have to try that one of these days. If I can find cable strong enough to hold the Press. ;-)
