I'm considering buying a Nikon Coolscan V ED and need to know how one goes about loading it with negative film.
Does the scanner include a filmstrip holder which must be inserted into the slot, or do you simply insert a strip of film on it's own?
If it does include a filmstrip holder, are they very durable? Replaceable?
Thanks for your help.

The CS V has a changeable front doohickey. The retail box version comes with two: one to stick individual, mounted 35mm slides, and the other to stick strips of up to 6 standard 35mm film.
With the strip adapter, you basically shove the film into the scanner, and it does all the work. No need to put it into a holder. They do have an accessory holder for it, though.
