Nikon F-S mount adapter?

A bit of a longshot but was an adapter ever made to fit the F-mount lenses on the
S- mount RF's?
Any info much appreciated?

Sadly it only allows scale focussing not much help if i wanted to use the Nikkor 50 1.2 AI-S lens with it wide open.....
Slightly OT: I did see on ebay some "contax type" adapters to allow Nikon S-Fit on Leica-M not cheap @220-320USD

There is an adapter with rangefinder couping for $250. It is tempting to get such an adapter and use Nikkor lenses on my M3.

The adapter i have fits the Nikon F mount lenses not the S- mount i bought this from Stephen's Cameraquest site last year.
