In noticed recently with lenses of 50 or less focal length, my FT3 would not quite reach infinity focus in the split prism. When I look at the mount it seemed that the lens not quite orthoganol to the mount. However, it mounted smoothly and sure. the mount is so full of steel it seems like nothing could knock it off kilter if you hit with a hammer. IT's just quite right. Should I just ignore ?

It could be the mirror that is misaligned. Try checking with a ground glass or semi-opaque sellotape at the film gate against focus at the eyepiece.

For now I'm going to ignore. Strangely, when I mounted my 85 1.8 afs it focused perfectly at infinity .
